‘Hot Summer Nights’ Trailer: Timothée Chalamet Stars in Another Coming-Of-Age Film

A24’s Coming-Of-Age Film

A24 has debuted the edgy first trailer for Hot Summer Nights, another coming-of-age drama starring Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird).

The 1991-set story follows Chalamet stars as a shy out-of-towner who starts selling weed as a way to impress a cute girl but at least he teams up with a local drug dealer.

The film marks the directorial debut of writer/director Elijah Bynum and co-stars It Follows breakout Maika Monroe and Alex Roe, along with William Fichtner, Thomas Jane, Emory Cohen and Maia Mitchell.

Set in Cape Cod over one scorching summer, Hot Summer Nights follows Daniel (Timothée Chalamet), a shy out-of-towner who gets in over his head flipping weed with the neighborhood rebel (Alex Roe) while pursuing his new business partner’s enigmatic sister (Maika Monroe). With a hurricane looming in the wings, tensions rise against a backdrop of drive-ins, arcades, and crashed parties as the stakes (and temperatures) grow ever higher.
