‘Hotel Mumbai’ Trailer: A New Thriller Based on 26/11 Mumbai Attacks

Icon Film Distribution has released the first trailer for Hotel Mumbai, the American-Australian thriller film directed by newcomer Adelaide director, Anthony Maras.

Starring Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Jason Isaacs, Anupam Kher, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Angus McLaren, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Rodney Afif, and Sachin Joab, the film is based on 2009 documentary ‘Surviving Mumbai’ and re-tells the incidents that took place on November 26, 2008, in which the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists laid siege to the Taj Mahal hotel near the Gateway of India.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this fall, and is scheduled to be released in select US theaters on March 29, 2019. Watch the first trailer below.

Hotel Mumbai is based on the true story of the devastating terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in 2008. The terrifying assault brings together the guests and the staff of the luxurious hotel including wealthy new parents David and Zahra (Armie Hammer and Nazanin Boniadi), Russian businessman Vasili (Jason Issacs) and newly promoted waiter Arjun (Dev Patel) in a desperate fight for survival. This story celebrates humanity, compassion, courage, resilience and the unwavering desire to survive.
