Hugh Jackman Gets Serious in New ‘Logan’ Poster
Hugh Jackman shared on social media the new Logan poster, ahead of the new trailer reportedly coming early in January 2017.
20th Century Fox hired James Mangold to handle Jackman’s last turn as the iconic Marvel mutant, which also features Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez and the young Dafne Keen as the female Wolverine clone X-23.
The movie is partially inspired by the Old Man Logan storyline in the comics and is coming to theaters on March 3, 2017.
Plus, rumor has it that Ryan Reynolds has recently filmed a Deadpool cameo for the new Wolverine film. The Wrap claims that Deadpool 2 helmer David Leitch directed the segment, but Mangold seems to denying the outlet’s report. Reynolds also sheds some doubt on the Deadpool cameo rumor, so take this with a grain of salt for the time being until more information can be dug up. Take a look at the new poster below.
Logan takes place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan’s vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn’t seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn’t over yet.
