A full-length trailer for Taika Waititi’s shenanigan-filled comedy adventure Hunt for the Wilderpeople has arrived.

Starring Kiwi film veteran Sam Neill and up-and-comer, Julian Dennison, the film follows Ricky Baker (Dennison), a troublemaker kid from the city who finds himself in the foster care of bushman Hec (Neill).

The movie was a critical hit when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month. Check out the full trailer and new poster for Hunt for the Wilderpeople, ahead of its New Zealand release on March 31st. No release date for U.s. yet.

Hopefully there is a good helping of Rhys Darby, too.

Taika Waititi’s Comedy Adventure

Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family: the loving Aunt Bella, the cantankerous Uncle Hec, and dog Tupac. When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush. As a national manhunt ensues, the newly branded outlaws must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family.
