Jack Huston Drops Out of THE CROW Remake

Relativity Studios Remake

Despite the fact that Forest Whitaker entered talks today for an unspecified role in The Crow remake and just three months after signing on to play Eric Draven in Relativity Media’s reboot, Jack Huston (“Boardwalk Empire”) has departed due to “scheduling issues.”

Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) and Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) are being eyed, among others, as possible replacements.

Huston's Possible Replacements

The film, based on the comic series by James O’Barr which led to the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee, had previously Bradley Cooper and Luke Evans attached to star. It has been in development for years and features a script by Cliff Dorfman, but it is unclear when filming may begin.

Director Corin Hardy said:

“Jack Huston is unfortunately unavailable to continue with us on ‘The Crow. he Crow’ is an amazing project, and I am grateful that we have the time and patience to get it right. We look forward to unveiling our new lead and starting to film over the next several weeks.”

Uhm, The Crow remake loses everyone….again. Something must be wrong somewhere. Doubt this movie is gonna happen.
