Jackie Chan Still Kicks Ass in the Final Trailer for ‘The Foreigner’

Martin Campbell’s Action Thriller

STX Entertainment has unveiled the final trailer for Jackie Chan’s next action movie The Foreigner. This one shows more of the legendary martial artist and actor kicking ass and taking names – getting some kind of revenge out of the deal.

I already posted a trailer for his sci-fi actioner Bleeding Steel but this looks so much better. The movie was directed by Casino Royale and Goldeneye helmer Martin Campbell and scripted by David Marconi from Stephen Leather‘s novel “The Chinaman”. The story follows a London businessman Quan (Chan) who is out for revenge after his daughter is killed in an act of terrorism.

Also starring Pierce Brosnan, Charlie Murphy, Katie Leung, Simon Kunz, Rory Fleck Byrne, Stephen Hogan, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Dermot Crowley, it opens in China starting September 30th, followed by an October 13th debut in the U.S. Here’s the new trailer:

Martin Campbell’s Action Thriller

The Foreigner, starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, is a timely action thriller from the director of Casino Royale. The film tells the story of humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love — his teenage daughter — is taken from him in a senseless act of politically-motivated terrorism. In his relentless search for the identity of the terrorists, Quan is forced into a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official (Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the elusive killers.
