Jamie Lee Curtis Returns for New ‘Halloween’ Film
Blumhouse, Miramax and Jamie Lee Curtis herself announced via Twitter that Curtis will return to her role as Laurie Strode in the upcoming Halloween reboot, due out in 2018.
Though it’s yet to receive a title, the new Halloween is said to be a sequel to Halloween II, a 1981 horror film and the second installment in the Halloween series.
The plot reads as follows:
“Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.”
The film, directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Danny McBride, will hit theaters on October 19, 2018.
John Carpenter is serving as an executive producer. It will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
