JERSEY BOYS Trailer and Poster

At the end of the day Warner Bros. has released the first Jersey Boys trailer and poster for director Clint Eastwood’s adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical.

Starring Christopher Walken ( plays a guy called Angelo “Gyp” DeCarlo), Jeremy Luke, Joey Russo, Vincent Piazza and Erica Piccininni, a jukebox musical chronicling the rise of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi in the early 1960s.

The four boys from the wrong side of the tracks wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were 30!

A bit surprised to see that Eastwood’s tackling a full-blown musical here. The actor turned director was attached to a remake of A Star is Born starring Beyonce a couple of years back, so I’m not in total shock. Moreover, the filmmaker is an avid music fan and a composer himself.

Jersey Boys is set for a June 20 release.

Clint Eastwood’s big screen version of the Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of the four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic `60s rock group The Four Seasons. Their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the hit songs that influenced a generation, and are now being embraced by a new generation of fans through the stage musical.
