Jesse Eisenberg Talks Playing Lex Luthor in Bats vs Supes

Jesse Eisenberg will portray the iconic DC villain Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder‘s upcoming titanic superhero collision Batman vs. Superman.

While promoting his latest indie film The Double on The Today Show, Eisenberg answered a few questions, but much like with the Marvel Cinematic Universe actors, he does not reveal anything new:

“It’s an interesting character. The movie is really good. But yeah, if I say anything beyond that, somebody will probably descend from the ceiling.”

The conversation shifted to whether Eisenberg chose the role because of its attachment to a giant franchise, which he says is more of an added bonus to getting to play the character.

Eisenberg also spoke to the Schmoes and reveals that he will begin shooting his scenes exactly one month from now and also told the lads that he was “very impressed with the script, saying it was a GREAT script; which ultimately led to him taking on the iconic role.”

You can watch the interview below as well as the fan poster art from IGN‘s forum.

Bats vs Supes comes to theaters May 6, 2016. P.S. When the host started to talk to him she referred to the film as “Batman vs. Spider-Man“.

I’m wondering how Eisenberg’s catty nature and borderline personality is going to play in the long run.
