Jim Jarmusch’s ‘Paterson’ Starring Adam Driver Wrapps Filming

Jim Jarmusch's Next Project

Marine veteran and villain of Star Wars, Adam Driver finished shooting Jim Jarmusch‘s next film Paterson, said to be about a New Jersey bus driver and poet, but not many details are known beyond that.

Jarmusch has been talking about the movie last year with The Playlist, alluding that it may end up on the funnier side of his normal output.

It’s all written and everything, but I don’t really want to talk about it too much. I’m a little superstitious, but it’s set in the present in Paterson New Jersey. I don’t know if it’s any more of a comedy than any other film I’ve made, but it definitely has some funny stuff in it.”

The same outlet now reveals that the young actor, who plays the villainous Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is starring in Paterson too. The film actually wrapped its five-week shoot a few weeks ago on November 13th so Driver had enough time to prepare for Star Wars press duties.

Best known for his role in HBO’s “Girls,” Driver will next be seen in J.J. Abrams’ mega-blockbuster. Apart from that he will also be seen in Jeff Nichols’ sci-fi movie Midnight Special and Martin Scorsese’s historic-drama film Silence. Does the rise of Adam Driver seem fueled by something behind the scenes? I dunno.

Hopefully we’ll see the Jarmusch project premiere at Cannes next year, though it’s unclear if this is part of the deal with Amazon that he already signed. If that’s the case, it would guarantee a 2016 U.S. release. And I tnink it’s even better.
