Liam Neeson Would Return as Ra’s al Ghul for ARROW TV Series

Batman Begins star Liam Neeson revealed that he’s more than willing to reprise the role of Ra’s al Ghul in the third season of the “Arrow” TV series.

“No, I haven’t [been approached], I haven’t at all. I would [do it], in a heartbeat, if it came my way, yeah. Very much so,”

the Academy Award-nominee told MTV while promoting his new film A Walk Among the Tombstones.

“They have to believe in their philosophy. Ra’s al Ghul absolutely believed what he was doing was ultimately saving civilization, and it was quite a good argument he comes up with. Throughout the ages this fraternity, that brought the plague to wipe out a section of mankind because it needed to be regenerated again. Very dangerous, but you have to believe it,”

he added of playing villains.

The chances of the network being able to fit an actor of Neeson’s calibre into the show with their budget are very slender. Slim to none — who knows?

“Arrow” is currently filming its sixth episode, while it’s likely Ra’s will appear in the midseason finale, episode nine, which is set to be directed by Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters helmer Thor Freudenthal.

Neeson was perfect for the role of Ra’s. Check out one of my favorite scenes of the Dark Knight trilogy:
