Live Action POWER RANGERS Movie Reboot Announced

Lionsgate has announced a live action movie reboot of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the first of what it hopes will be many live action feature films.

The new film franchise will reportedly re-envision the characters, a group of high school kids who are infused with unique and cool super powers but must harness and use those powers as a team if they have any hope of saving the world.

Saban Brands launched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a live action television series over 20 years ago, and the series has been in continuous production ever since.

There are no details yet regarding director, cast, writer or release date. While we all wait, lets check out our look back at the first movie, which was made for only $15 million but did manage to generate over $66 million at the box.

Here’s the trailer for 1995’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers below. The second Power Rangers feature film was Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997.
