Loki and Heimdall Confirmed to Appear in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

An interesting piece of news has surfaced regarding Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron as Thor star Idris Elba drops the bombshell that he will appear as Heimdall alongside Tom Hiddleston as Loki in The Avengers sequel.

During an interview with The Telegraph, the actor let the revelation slip that he has recently shot a scene for Age of Ultron:

“I’m in Avengers,” Elba revealed to The Telegraph. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’”

Whoa! Elba was discussing a DJ set he did this summer in Ibiza Rocks House club in Spain when he let the detail slip out. Elba filmed his scenes for Age of Ultron the day after the clubbing gig:

“That’s why I was p—– about my set yesterday. I really just wasn’t there. I was annoyed.”

Whoa! Neither the actor nor somebody in Marvel Studio were happy about that, but it’s great news for anyone who loves Thor (Hemsworth) and his nefarious brother Loki (Hiddleston). I heard Hiddleston was planning on doing a cameo, but this is even cooler.

Comic Book reported the possible scene that Elba is referring to:

“The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer revealed what appeared to be flashback scenes for Captain America and Black Widow. The Avengers: Age of Ultron clip shown at the Marvel Studios Phase 3 event also featured Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. talking about what that Maximoff kid had shown Thor. It’s probably likely that Hiddleston and Elba appear in a vision that Scarlet Witch shows Thor.”

Whoa! I think she shows him a vision of the truth of Loki. There’s absolutely no doubt whatsoever it’s a good thing Asgardians are immortal. Hope they both have some badass scenes. Kevin Feige has also confirmed that Thomas William Hiddleston will appear in Avengers: Infinity War – Part I and Part II, scheduled for May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1, 2015 and also stars Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Cobie Smulders, Thomas Kretschmann, Paul Bettany and Stellan Skarsgard.
