New MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Trailer Drives into the Franchise’s Legacy

Mad Max Legacy Trailer

The new Mad Max: Fury Road trailer is some kind of featurette, which takes a look back at the original 1979 movie, The Road Warrior, Beyond Thunderdome, along with some extra shots from the new one.

Co-written and directed by George Miller, Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as “Mad” Max Rockatansky, the road warrior, who joins up with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron). The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Check out the legacy trailer for this visual masterpiece, which is slated to hit theaters on May 15th.

Would be cool if Mel Gibson made a cameo. (It’s like replacing Harrison Ford as Indy with Chris Pratt).

An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
