MAGGIE Trailer: Arnold Schwarzengger and Zombie Abigail Breslin

Schwarzenegger Breslin

Lionsgate has released the first full-length trailer for Maggie, a zombie flick starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

It’s definitely not quite what we expected, but interesting nonetheless – an intimate story of a Midwestern farmer/father (Schwarzenegger) who vows to stay by his teenage daughter’s (Abigail Breslin) side as she turns into a flesh-eating zombie.

The Henry Hobson-directed post-apocalyptic horror drama also stars Joely Richardson, Amy Brassette, Aiden Flowers, Rachel Whitman Groves and Laura Cayouette.

Maggie will be making an appearance next month at the Tribeca Film Festival before its May 8 release date. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself.

Looks like an awesome indie gem, way cooler than the upcoming Terminator movie. I’m in.

There’s a deadly zombie epidemic threatening humanity, but Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a small-town farmer and family man, refuses to accept defeat even when his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) becomes infected. As Maggie’s condition worsens and the authorities seek to eradicate those with the virus, Wade is pushed to the limits in an effort to protect her. Joely Richardson co-stars in this post-apocalyptic thriller.
