MAPS TO THE STARS First Promo Trailer; Plus NSFW Trailer
UPDATE: A new, French NSFW trailer has gone online with a heightened air of sexuality and surreality.
Ahead of the official 2014 Cannes Film Festival announcement on Thursday, the first Maps to the Stars trailer has been released.
The first international trailer for David Cronenberg‘s new film offers a glimpse of “complex look at Hollywood and what it reveals about Western culture.”
It’s now obvious that Cronenberg’s follow-up to his popular feature Cosmopolis is completely different, it’s a “vicious look at a twisted Hollywood dynasty, telling the story of the Weiss family, of whom each member seems to have their own variety of fucked up problems.”
The Bruce Wagner-penned movie stars John Cusack, Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson, Olivia Williams, and Sarah Gadon.
The R-rated film that might appear at this year’s Cannes film festival will be distributed by eOne in the U.S.

Clarice is dead now and visions of her come to haunt Havana at night. Adding to the toxic mix, Benjie has just come off a rehab program he joined when he was 9 and his sister, Agatha, has recently been released from a sanatorium where she was treated for criminal pyromania…
