Marvel Announces ‘Ant-Man’ Sequel ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ for 2018

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Yeah,  well, you know, Ant-Man is officially getting a sequel, but it won’t be titled Ant-Man 2. A sequel to this summer’s Paul Rudd vehicle will be titled Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Marvel Studios has announced that Ant-Man follow-up will hit theaters on July 6, 2018 as part of their Phase 3 update, even though the first installment was one of the worst performing in Marvel’s recent history. Oh, never mind. Can’t wait to see the Wasp in action.

Following the news about the first Marvel film that has been named after its heroine, we have new release dates for both Black Panther and Captain Marvel, plus 3 more untitled movies.

Black Panther now arrives on February 16, 2018 and the long-awaited Captain Marvel film will open on March 8, 2019. Three untitled films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020. Phase 3 is going to be crazy. I hope one of them is a Cloak and Dagger movie.

The other films for Marvel’s Phase Three include Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, Doctor Strange on November 4, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017, their Untitled Spider-Man Film on July 28, 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017, Avengers: Infinity War Part I on May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War Part II May 3, 2019, and Inhumans on July 12, 2019.
