Marvel Unveils New Captain America

Hot on the heels of the Thor news, Marvel Comics has revealed the identity of Captain America‘s replacement.

Marvel has announced via the “Colbert Report” tonight that Sam Wilson, formerly the super hero known as the Falcon, would be taking over the role of Captain America this October, making him the next African American to play Captain America as there was also a black Captain America in World War II – Isaiah Bradley.

Stephen Colbert had this to say:

“I don’t have to tell you that the world is falling apart under Barack Obama’s leadership. We’re losing one of our greatest leaders, Captain America. He won our hearts back in 1941 by punching Hitler in the face!”

Yeah, talks of political correctness and diversity say more about you than a fictional character in Marvel comics.

Rick Remender, writer of the current volume of “Captain America‘ and Stuart Immonen (All-New X-Men) will be working together on All-New Captain America.

No doubt the comics giant is making big changes this year with New Cap and Thor, Wolverine dies, Iron Man is going crazy, and I am excited to see how the changes shake up.
