McKay’s ‘The Big Short’ Trailer Starring Pitt, Bale & Gossling

Paramount Pictures has released the shady first trailer for Adam McKey‘s first drama The Big Short, starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt.

The all-star cast also includes Karen Gillan, Marisa Tomei, Melissa Leo, Tracy Letts, Finn Wittrock, and Hamish Linklater.

Based on the nonfiction book by Michael Lewis (Moneyball), the film will have its world premiere November 12 as the closing film at AFI Fest and opens in limited release on December 11, followed by a nationwide release on December 23.

This looks properly miserable but also funny. Love the cast. The official synopsis reads:

When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.

Good point of view of the downward spiral of the banks and economy. I’m in.
