Michael Cera to Voice Robin in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE

The Lego Batman Movie

Scott Pilgrim‘s Michael Cera will lend his voice to the Batman’s sidekick Robin in the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie.

Cera’s “Arrested Development” co-star Will Arnett reprises his role as the Dark Knight from last year’s The Lego Movie. Hey, LEGO Batman is turning into an Arrested Development reunion! All I’m gonna say is that deeply surprises me. Batman is now Robin’s uncle…

Chris McKay is directing from a script by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter creator Seth Grahame-Smith, with the original movie’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller on board as producers. The Lego Batman Movie hits theaters on February 10, 2017, having leapfrogged over the planned Lego Movie sequel.

Cera will next be heard in the R-rated animated ensemble Sausage Party, and he’s also writing and starring in a fifth season of “Arrested Development.” Additionally, he has acquired the rights to Masters of Atlantis, in which he will star. Good for you man!
