Michael Myers & Laurie Strode Return in First ‘Halloween’ Trailer
The Boogeyman is back as well as Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis. Universal has debuted the first trailer for Halloween, the latest reboot of John Carpenter’s classic 1978 slasher movie.
David Gordon Green and Danny McBride reboot the franchise for a fourth time and I certainly hope that they can restore dignity to the Halloween sequels. “We all came to the decision that remaking something that already works isn’t a good idea. So we just have a reimagining instead,” McBride said. The new movie picks up 40 years later as journalists visit the killer in asylum, which doesn’t end well for anyone.
Co-starring Judy Greer, Will Patton, Nick Castle, Andi Matichak, and Omar J. Dorsey, watch first Halloween trailer below.
The film opens on October 19, 2018.
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
