More TERMINATOR GENISYS Pics & Plot Details Revealed

Following yesterday’s cosplay-ish covers, EW has debuted more pics of the Terminator Genisys cast and unveiled even more plot details, therefore, possible spoilers ahead.

We get our first look at Arnold Schwarzenegger as an aging T-800 as well as the iconic T-800 exoskeleton, which hasn’t changed much in design. And Arnold still looks badass. He reportedly has a “significant role” in the film. The vet actor has to say:

“I knew eventually that another Terminator was going to get made. People always have to go through that painful experience of doing a sequel, or something like that, without me.”

And that’s the best part the franchise’s fifth installment and the worst part is that they’ll try to create completely CG characters that are supposed to look just like humans.

“Part of the challenge is to dazzle people with something they haven’t seen before. There are elements in our main villain that are straining the capacities of our brilliant visual-effects people. So that’s a good sign,”

explains director Alan Taylor. So the film’s villain will indeed be a man-machine hybrid.

“It’s the holy grail of visual effects,” producer David Ellison says. “You create a walking, breathing human that doesn’t exist.”

Okay dude, it´s supposed to be funny, right? Like this is some kind of comedy? Hit the jump to check out newly revealed plot details:

“Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton’s steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991’s T2. Rather, the mother of humanity’s messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she’s been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger’s Terminator—an older T-800 she calls “Pops”—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.”

Are these for real? Looks like a movie for the young adult crowd. It’s pretty darn obvious its gonna be PG-13.

A toy-friendly Terminator Genisys comes to theaters July 1st, 2015 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt and Matt Smith.
