Morena Baccarin Confirmed Her Role in DEADPOOL

X-Men Franchise Spinoff Movie

Morena Baccarin confirmed her role as a mutant shape-Shifting prostitute, Copycat (aka Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle), in X-Men franchise spinoff Deadpool .

Vanessa is a former prostitute turned mercenary, who will likely serve as love interest to the titular antihero in the long-developing Marvel Comics adaptation, which production begins in Vancouver.

In related news, comedian T.J. Miller confirmed he will play Weasel, the Merc with a Mouth’s (Ryan Raynolds) sidekick in the source material since his debut in 1993 (who’d later go on to be an enemy of Deadpool as the character The House).

Co-starring Gina Carano (as Angel Dust) and Ed Skrein (his character has not yet been unvieled), the Tim Miller-directed film will also appear the mutant Colossus. Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not feature as the character. Could Domino and Bob be around the corner?

Penned by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool is scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.
