Could a NAMOR Movie be Legendary’s Secret 2016 Project?

According to a rumor being reported by the Latino Review, Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures are developing a feature film depicting comic book superhero “Namor: The Sub-Mariner“, the son of a human sea captain and a princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis.

A “secret” tentpole movie would hit theaters on November 4th, 2016. Legendary reportedly didn’t deny the story but issued a “No comment.”

Adding more fuel to the fire, Godzilla screenwriter Max Borenstein said in a new interview with Collider:

“There is this secret project that I’ve been working on with the folks at Legendary, which I’m excited about. I think there’s a decent shot of that [going into production]. I can’t get into details, but hopefully soon, it will hit the universe.”

Maybe this has something to do with the Zac Efron (Neighbors), recent rumors that he was recently given a new Marvel script.

Here’s a quick summary of superhero Namor:

Namor is a hybrid of human and Atlantean DNA, he possesses a fully amphibious physiology suited for extreme undersea pressures, superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, flight, and longevity. Namor has the ability to survive underwater for indefinite periods, and specially developed vision which gives him the ability to see clearly in the murky depths of the ocean.
