Netflix Releases First ‘Brahman Naman’ Trailer

Indian Coming Of Age Comedy

Netflix has released a first trailer for the upcoming Brahman Naman, an indie coming of age nerd comedy set in the 80’s in India.

Directed by desi filmmaker Qaushiq Mukherjee aka Q (Gandu) and written by Naman Ramachandran, the film follows a quartet of socially awkward Brahmin nerds and avid quizzers who undertake a road trip from Bangalore to Calcutta for a championship match. Along the cross-country alcohol-fuelled journey they intend to have as much debauched fun as possible, hopefully losing their innocence (and virginity).

Brahman Naman premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival, quickly earning comparisons with the likes of American Pie and The Inbetweeners. The raunchy comedy stars Shashank Arora along with Tanmay Dhanania and Chaitanya Varad. Check out the first official trailer below.

Netflix scooped up worldwide SVOD rights to Brahman Naman and is set to debut the movie on July 7.
