Netflix’s ‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’ Gets First Trailer

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its original film Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, with Paul Reubens reprising his playful man-child, the character who rose to popularity in TV and film in the 1980s.

Directed by John Lee and co-written by Reubens and Paul Rust, the film was produced by Reubens and Judd Apatow. Set to premiere worldwide Friday, March 18th at 12:01am PT, the cast also includes Magic Mike alum Joe Manganiello and “Arrested Development”’s Alia Shawkat. The soundtrack will be composed by Mark Mothersbaugh.

The film stars Pee-wee Herman, Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Stalker), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and was directed by John Lee (Wonder Showzen, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday). Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (Love, Arrested Development) wrote the film, that was produced by Reubens and Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Bridesmaids).
