New ‘Alien: Covenant’ Trailer Arrives
Fox has released a new trailer for Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi horror sequel Alien: Covenant, the latest chapter in the Alien saga that feels like it’s going back to the roots of the original 1979 film but with more weight to it’s story.
The follow-up to Prometheus features the return of Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Guy Pearce, as well as franchise newcomers Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz, and James Franco. The screenplay is by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, with a rewrite by John Logan.
Not a bad trailer by any means, but shows way too much, including the new Neomorph, which looks totally gnarly – see for yourself.
The more they show, the more it looks like a cash grab. Lets hope subtlety is left for the film.
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
