New ‘Hail, Caesar!’ Trailer Hits

Alden Ehrenrich & Ralph Fiennes

Universal Pictures has released the new trailer for Joel and Ethan Coen’s latest feature film, Hail, Caesar!, which has a great punchline: “Would that it t’were so simple.”

Ralph Fiennes stars as frustrated film director Laurence Lorenz in the scene the Coens have chosen to focus on for the duration of this trip. He’s battling it out with his leading man (Alden Ehrenreich) over the pronunciation of an all-important line in the script.

This new trailer aside, the outstanding ensemble cast for this ’50s-era comedy also includes Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum (who will have his own ballad), Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill and Frances McDormand.

Check out the second official trailer below, along with the poster.

Hail, Caesar! looks like pure Coen-y goodness. Jazzed for this.

Joel And Ethan Coen’s Latest

Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Fargo) write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum, Hail, Caesar! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.

The comedy is produced by the Coen brothers under their Mike Zoss Productions banner alongside Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
