New ‘Justice League Dark’ Trailer, R-Rating Confirmed
Warner Bros. Animation has released (via IGN) the Justice League Dark trailer, showing us the other side of the animated DC Universe.
The animated movie aimed at adult audiences will feature Jason O’Mara as Batman, Matt Ryan as John Constantine (reprising his role from the now-canceled TV show), Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, with Jerry O’Connell as Superman, and Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman. New cast members include Jeremy Davies as Ritchie, Enrico Colantoni as Felix Faust, Alfred Molina as Destiny and Roger R. Cross pulling double duty as both Swamp Thing and John Stewart.
Directed by Jay Oliva from a script written by Ernie Altbacker and J.M. DeMatteis, Justice League Dark will follow in the footsteps of Batman: The Killing Joke and will be rated R for “some disturbing violence.” The film will debut digitally on January 24, 2017 and on DVD and Blu-ray on February 7, 2017. Elsewhere in the news, a live-action feature film of the group has been in development for some time, with the most recent update putting director Doug Liman at the helm.

The art isn’t that far off from that found in “Batman Beyond,” but the acting and the way the trailer was executed is bad.
Justice League Dark finds the world under attack from supernatural forces that prompts the Justice League’s Batman to seek aid from occult investigator John Constantine. Constantine forms a team of other supernatural superheroes — Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan the Demon — to help save the world.
