New Red Band Trailer for Wacky Horror ‘The Greasy Strangler’

Jim Hosking‘s Midnight Horror Comedy

FilmRise has released the very NSFW trailer for Jim Hosking‘s midnight horror comedy The Greasy Strangler, which has received quite a bit of acclaim upon screening at Sundance.

Sky Elobar stars as a schlubby middle-aged man Big Brayden, along with Michael St. Michaels as his mean old dad Big Ronnie, who likes to slather himself in lard and go on killing sprees. The film also stars Elizabeth De Razzo as the son’s love interest, plus Gil Gex, Jesse Keen, and Joe David Walters.

The Greasy Strangler arrives in theaters and on VOD October 7. Check out the new official trailer for the movie about a love triangle involving a father and son.

I don’t even know what I just witnessed, but I’ve never seen a trailer that had so much unwanted nudity. Sounds like a John Waters-directed Tim & Eric sketch. I think this falls into the genre of “trying too hard.”

Jim Hosking‘s Midnight Horror Comedy

The Los Angeles-set “surreal, midnight-horror comedy” follows Ronnie, a man who runs a Disco Walking tour along with his browbeaten son, Brayden. When a sexy, alluring woman comes to take the tour, it begins a competition between father and son for her attentions. It also signals the appearance of an oily, slimy inhuman maniac who stalks the streets at night and strangles the innocent, soon dubbed “The Greasy Strangler.”
