New SPY Trailer has Melissa McCarthy’s James Bond Spoof

Paul Feig’s Comedy

Jason Statham prepares Melissa McCarthy for the secret agent by schooling her in the ways of toughness in the new trailer for writer/director Paul Feig’s Spy.

Arriving June 5, the latest McCarthy/Feig collaboration stars McCarthy (of course) as an unassuming CIA analyst turned fearless spy alongside an eager ensemble including the aforementioned Statham, as well as Rose Byrne, Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Peter Serafinowicz, Miranda Hart, Allison Janney and Morena Baccarin.

Love Statham’s cat joke. I wonder if it wasn’t McCarthy, would the flick look any better? Anyway, Statham and Law give it a bit more punch.

Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency’s most dangerous missions. But when her partner (Jude Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Jason Statham) is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.
