New Trailer for George Clooney and the Coen Brothers’ ‘Suburbicon’

George Clooney’s Satirical Noir

Paramount Pictures has released the first official U.S. trailer for Suburbicon, the Coen Brothers satirical noir directed by George Clooney.

After the jump, check out this latest preview along with the brand-new poster featuring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, and Oscar Isaac. The movie has an awesome cast that also includes Noah Jupe, Glenn Fleshler, Megan Ferguson and Jack Conley.

Suburbicon — which is playing this week at the Toronto International Film Festival — drew applause a number of times during the Venice press screening last week. However, the Coens abandoned the project at some point and Clooney and his Smokehouse partner Grant Heslov also have co-scripting credits on the film. The rumor is that this is largely unintelligible script that lacks continuity.

George Clooney’s Satirical Noir

Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.
