New Trailer for Animated Tearjerker THE LITTLE PRINCE

Top European indie studio, ON Entertainment has released the new international trailer for Mark Osborne’s (Kung Fu Panda) animated feature The Little Prince, which is certain to make people break into tears.

According to Variety, the first animated feature film adaptation of the classic children’s novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry will make its world premiere at Cannes in the official selection.

With a US$80 million production budget, The Little Prince is one of France’s most expensive toon pics ever. The film will be released in France on July 29th and features the voices of many English-speaking A-listers, including Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Rachel McAdams, and Benicio del Toro. Riley Osborne will be playing the role of the Little Prince. A U.S. release date is yet to be announced.

The wraparound story is a CGI, but scenes from the story of the novel were shot in stop-motion. Check it out.
