New Trailer for TIFF Crime Drama SICARIO

Denis Villeneuve's Crime Drama

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Sicario would be making its North American premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2015, a tense second trailer for the militarized crime drama from Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve has been released.

The gritty action-drama from a script by Taylor Sheridan, and starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro, already premiered at Cannes. Shot by Roger Deakins, Sicario is certainly an attention-grabber movie exploring the morally murky aspects of law enforcement in a lawless land.

Also starring Jon Bernthal, Daniel Kaluuya, Maximiliano Hernández and Jeffrey Donovan, the movie arrives in theaters starting September 18th.

The new trailer doesn’t add much by way of fresh footage, but I hope there are still plenty of surprises in store for audiences.

In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman.

Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past [Benicio Del Toro], the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
