New ‘Trumbo’ International Trailer Released

Bryan Cranston

Ahead of a release next month, a brand new UK trailer for the movie Trumbo has just launched, starring Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, Diane Lane, Elle Fanning, John Goodman and Louie C.K.

A Jay Roach-helmed biopic of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Roman Holiday) who was blacklisted during the Red Scare of the 1940s and 1950s, played Toronto last month and screens at the London Film Festival later this week.

The film, written by TV regular John McNamara from Bruce Cook‘s biography, opens November 6th. Watch the new trailer along with a new poster for the film.

Cranston looks damn good in this pic. Still, it may seem like a long shot to get in the Best Actor ballot.

Lane And Cranston And Mirren

The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO (directed by Jay Roach) tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.
