New U.K. Trailer for IT FOLLOWS [UPDATED]

Update: RADiUS-TWC has now released the official U.S. trailer for the highly acclaimed terror tale which will hit theaters and VOD on March 27, 2015.

The festival horror hit It Follows is the sophomore directorial effort from David Robert Mitchell (The Myth of the American Sleepover). Starring rising stunner Maika Monroe (The Guest), this indie flick is heading to cinemas overseas.

Following the French release, it’s now set for U.K. distribution on February 27th. Therefore, the new U.K. teaser for the original horror-thriller has arrived and it now features a lot less footage, but it’s much more intense.

RADiUS and The Weinstein Company acquired the US distribution rights to the film, with an expected first-quarter. If you’ll come visit Sundance next month, you can catch the feature as part of the genre-focused Park City at Midnight section.

Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi and Lili Sepe co-star. Below, you can see the trailer for Cannes and Fantastic Fest horror hit It Follows.

Update: The full trailer with an old-school feel is here, dig it:

The film indeed may have some merit.

I’m liking this, but the trailers give off a very strong vibe that the film’s premise works better than its overall execution. Anyway, that’s going to become some people’s favorite because of a good few shocks that send horrible chills and they don’t use loud noises for these. Probably the score is good too.

Maika Monroe Horror

The plot description reads as follows:

For 19-year-old Jay (Monroe), the fall should be about school, boys and weekends at the lake. Yet after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions; she can’t shake the sensation that someone, or something, is following her. As the threat closes in, Jay and her friends must somehow escape the horrors that are only a few steps behind.
