New VACATION Trailer Looks Much Better

Chris Hemsworth

New Line Cinema has released a new trailer for Vacation, the sort-of reboot, sort-of sequel to the 1983 comedy classic National Lampoon’s Vacation. Despite the fact that it is a green-band trailer, it looks so much better than the last one, which was pretty NSFW.

Ed Helms stars as the new patriarch of the Griswold family who opts to redo his childhood road trip to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley World with his own family. Christina Applegate plays his wife, Leslie Mann is sister Audrey, and Chris Hemsworth is Rusty’’s irritatingly successful brother-in-law.

Rounding out the cast are Charlie Day, who plays a river rafting guide, and Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins who play Rusty’s kids. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’’Angelo returns as Clark and Ellen Griswold. But we all know that the real star of the film is Hemsworth. Vacation opens in theaters on July 29th.

Check it out.

The next generation of Griswolds is at it again. New Line Cinema’s “Vacation,” starring Ed Helms (“The Hangover” films) and Christina Applegate (the “Anchorman” films), takes the family on the road for another ill-fated adventure. The film marks Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut.

Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley World.
