Orlando Bloom Confirmed for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’

During Walt Disney Studios’ D23 Expo this weekend, the Mouse House has officially announced that Orlando Bloom will be returning for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. He’ll reprise his role as the blacksmith turned pirate Will Turner.

Also returning to Pirates 5 are Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Stephen Graham as Scrum, and, of course, Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. New to the upcoming fifth installment in their beloved Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are Javier Bardem as the film’s villain Captain Salazar, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, David Wenham, and Golshifteh Farahani. Franchise lovers will no doubt flock to the theater to see this fun movie.

Shooting on the film wrapped in July under directors Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning (Kon-Tiki). Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
