Magnolia Pictures has released the first official trailer for Please Stand By, the Trekkie dramedy in which Dakota Fanning plays a young autistic woman who runs away from her caregiver and embarks on a road trip to deliver her 500-page script for a Star Trek-themed contest.

Ben Lewin directed the film, with a script by Michael Golamco. Toni Collette, Jessica Rothe, Alice Eve, and Patton Oswalt co-star.
