POINT BREAK Remake: First Trailer and Poster Drop

Remake Of Kathryn Bigelow’s Original

Warner Bros. and Alcon have dropped the first Point Break trailer and poster for director Ericson Core’s (The Fast and the Furious) redo of Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 original, which starred Keanu Reeves as the fed and Patrick Swayze as the extreme sports addict who robbed banks.

The upcoming version of adrenaline-charged action crime movie stars Luke Bracey (The November Man) as Johnny Utah, a young federal cop who goes undercover in a daredevil group of athletes led by Bodhi, played by Edgar Ramirez (Zero Dark Thirty).

The new Point Break also features Ray Winstone (Noah), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Delroy Lindo (Sahara). The film opens in 2D and 3D on December 25th. Here’s the first trailer for the movie:

Umm, this Point Break is a remake of The Fast and the Furious, which was an essential remake of the original Point Break, but it doesn’t look as bad as i was expecting. Someone spent a lot of money to make this movie. Unfortunately, both lead actors are equally bland. At least Core knows how to shoot a movie. And here’s the first poster:

Remake Of Kathryn Bigelow’s Original

In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a string of staggering crimes that kill innocent people and send the world’s economy into a tailspin.

Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the callous architects of these inconceivable crimes.

The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by extreme athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.
