PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES Photos Reveal Heroines in Corsets

Burr Steers’ Big-Screen Adaptation

Yes, you guessed right, Screen Gems will present Pride and Prejudice and Zombies next week at Comic-Con, after years in development. Therefore, the studio has released new photos from Burr Steers’ (Igby Goes Down) adaptation that stars Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse) as the sexy girl zombie killers.

The Bennet girls will see some real action in the film, according to James:

Rather than knitting and crocheting, they’re polishing muskets,” she told EW, adding that Elizabeth is “the most badass zombie slayer there is.”

“The idea was that it was Pride and Prejudice set in this alternate world and then for everyone to play it straight. The movie’s big wink is that there is no big wink,” Steers explains.

The Pride and Prejudice panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 will feature talent from the film including James, Heathcote, Sam Riley, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, and Matt Smith, along with director Steers and the novel’s author Seth Grahame-Smith.

The film opens in theaters in time for the Valentine’s Day month on February 5, 2016. You can check out the new images below.

Instead of looking like horror movie set, it looks like a softcore porn movie. I dunno what to think.
