I’ll be honest, more than slightly disappointing Green Lantern writer Michael Green has been enlisted to rewrite the screenplay for the untitled Prometheus sequel.

Green – who was also hired to work on the follow-up to Blade Runner has been hired to rewrite the original script from Transcendence screenwriter Jack Paglen, tentatively-titled Prometheus 2.

Maybe I’m wrong on this one, maybe Green Lantern got totally destroyed by the studio, but for me, the film didn’t work at all.

Whatever the case may be, it’s still unclear whether Ridley Scott will direct and that the next chapter in the Alien prequel story is still undated. It’s possible the initial story started before the starting signal.

As for now Scott will produce through his Scott Free banner in anticipation of a March 4, 2016 release date and is expected to enter production this fall.

The source claims the Green’s script will be much more

“Alien-y” than the 2012 film and in line with the same horror tone of the previous films. Moreover, it is said to feature multiple David androids, who was played by Michael Fassbender in the first picture. One surmises both Fassbender and Noomi Rapace will return.

Hopefully more will be clear soon.
