Yep, it’s the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters so Sony Pictures want to celebrate it and to hype up the limited engagement a re-release trailer has dropped.

The one-week engagement kicks off on August 29th in more than 700 theaters nationwide followed on September 16 by the release of the Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition and Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-rays.

The summer of 1984 had: Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Temple of Doom among the others. Gremlins cost $11 million (which is roughly 42 million dollars today), Temple of Doom cost 28 million (which is a little under 62 million today), while Ghostbusters cost 30 million and comes in at 66 million today. You could make all three movies for 50 million dollars less than Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Check out the trailer for the return of Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Raymond Stanz (Dan Ayrkoyd), Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) to the big screen.

Well, you know where you’ll be Labor Day. Ghosts will become entangled in the stream and will become trapped, and that will make you laugh until you cry.
