It’s unclear what role the Grammy winner will play in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Sounds like an awesome sci-fi B-movie title. The film is a space opera of sorts based on the French comic series from the 1960s. Must be a passion project.

DeHaan will play the title character while Delevigne takes the role of his “sharp-tonged and sharp-witted” partner Laureline. Together, the two spatio-temporal agents help defend a utopian 28th century Earth and its surrounding planets from bad guys, of course. Owen, meanwhile, is also in the cast playing Commander Arün Filitt.

With a budget of $180 million, the 3D interplanetary sci-fi epic already is planned for July 21, 2017 release. Valerian will reportedly start shooting in France next January.
