Ryan Reynolds Escorts Samuel L. Jackson in the Red Band Trailer for ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’
Deadpool is protecting Nick Fury in a non-superhero movie! Lionsgate Summit Entertainment has released the new red band trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard, the upcoming action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson. The chemistry seems to be there between Reynolds and Jackson, even though I was expecting the tone to be a bit more serious.
Co-starring Gary Oldman and Salma Hayek, and Elodie Yung, the film was directed by Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3) from a script by relative newcomer, Tom O’Connor. The Hitman’s Bodyguard is set for an August 18th, 2017 release.
Watch the NSFW red band trailer chock-full of expletives, guns, cars, and gruesome violence. It looks stupid fun.
Update: The studio has debuted The Hitman’s Bodyguard poster, which is a play on the original poster for 1992’s The Bodyguard that stars Kevin Costner and the late Whitney Houston.
The world’s top protection agent is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world’s most notorious hitmen. The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their raucous and hilarious adventure from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator who is out for blood.
