Sandra Bullock to Lead a Gender-Swapped ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Reboot

Sandra Bullock-Led Reboot

Apparently this year’s gender swap was the smoothest shade of the actual rebooting trend in Hollywood, and therefore I wish you happy all-female paradigm!

The Playlist reported and Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Sandra Bullock (Our Brand Is Crisis) will lead a gender-swapped Ocean’s Eleven reboot with Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) directing and George Clooney helping produce it.

The female Ocean’s project was “initiated last year by the power trio of late producer Jerry Weintraub, ‘Ocean’s’ trilogy director Steven Soderbergh, and the franchise’s main star, Clooney.”

The trio have enlisted Little Women scribe Olivia Milch to tackle the script, which she has now turned in to Warner Bros. No plot details have been revealed, but “all they’re really doing is gender swapping roles and slapping a familiar name on it, in order to cash in on a nostalgia property which really isn’t that old.” Oh wait, there’s a chance Clooney could cameo as Danny Ocean…yawn.
