Screenwriter Fred Dekker Turned in the ‘Predator’ Sequel Script

The Fourth Predator Movie

The filmmaker Fred Dekker (The Monster Squad) has revealed on his Facebook that he’s “just turned in” the latest draft for the fourth Predator movie directed by Shane Black who co-starred in the old original Predator film.

Plot details remain under wraps, but here’s hoping that the movie will be on the fast track from this point on. Producer John Davis spoke about the script a while back, exclaiming that the next Predator would reinvent the franchise.

The writing is so fresh, the perspective is so fresh. I’m telling you you’re going to get something you don’t expect and you’re going to say, ‘This is the most entertaining way to reinvent a franchise.’”

Black and Dekker created together the story for the forthcoming Predator film, which has been described by Black as an “inventive sequel.” No word yet either on whether Arnold Schwarzenegger would be involved with the project, although he did express confidence in the writing capabilities of Black.

I think having Arnie as a grizzled Dutch Schaeffer would be awesome.
