See First Trailer for Melissa McCarthy’s New Comedy ‘The Boss’
Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for The Boss, the Melissa McCarthy’s new comedy about the most powerful businesswoman in America sent to jail for insider trading.
McCarthy wrote the script with her husband, Ben Falcone, along with their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. Falcone also directs the film, previously titled Michelle Darnell.
Opening in theaters on April 8, 2016, The Boss co-stars Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Kathy Bates, Kristen Schaal, Timothy Simons, Margo Martindale, and Cecily Strong. You can see the film’s first trailer below.

Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. The film is produced by McCarthy and Falcone through their On the Day productions and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions.
