‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Casts Zendaya in Key Role

Spider-Man Casting

Deadline brings word that actress and singer Zendaya has landed a key role in the Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man reboot, opposite Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei.

The Disney Channel veteran is set to play a character named ‘Michelle’ in the superhero movie, which is being directed by Jon Watts with a screenplay by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. However, the sources say it is not a lead role.

Could this be Michele Gonzales, or is “Michelle” codename for Mary Jane Watson? Whomever is Peter Parker’s new love interest is going to be is going to be great.

The new Spider-Man is scheduled to swing back into theaters in his own feature film on July 7, 2017, while Holland will debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War.

I don’t really mind a multi racial cast but let’s just see the god damn suit already.
