Sundance 2016: First Clip from Kevin Smith’s ‘Yoga Hosers’

Daddy’s Daughters

Today we have the first official clip from Kevin Smith’s horror comedy Yoga Hosers, featuring the filmmaker’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith ( that guy really does love Batman comics) and Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp.

The second film in Kevin Smith’s ‘True North Trilogy,’ which started with Tusk and ends with Moose Jaw, made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend, and we’ll probably find out in the next few days whether or not it will be picked up for distribution.

Daddy’s daughters play a pair of sophomore high schoolers from Winnipeg who love yoga and live on their smartphones. But when they get invited to a senior party by the school hottie, the two accidentally uncover an ancient evil buried beneath their Canadian convenience store.

The film also stars Tusk alums Johnny Depp, Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman and Harley Morenstein, while Nathasha Lyonne, Tony Hale, Adam Brody, Jason Mewes, and Smith himself feature this time too.

Check out the clip from Yoga Hosers, also written by Smith, and see what you think.

Yoga Hosers centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith), who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Depp) to fight for their lives with all seven chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time.
